Service & parts

If your watch is defective, it is best to contact your Seiko dealer for repair by qualified technicians using special Seiko tools.

Contact your Seiko dealer for strap adjustments. Provide your correct wrist circumference if you cannot be present.

A depleted battery can eventually leak and damage the movement. Have this done by a Seiko dealer. Additional testing costs may apply for water-resistant watches.

Seiko does not supply parts directly to consumers. We always advise our customers to contact their Seiko dealer.

Check your instruction booklet for accuracy information. For deviations, contact your Seiko dealer.

General information

About Seiko watches

Information is available on Seiko.nl and through your dealer. To find the correct calibre of your watch, you can find the case number on the back of your watch.

Instruction manuals are available online. The first four letter-number combination of the case number is the calibre number.

A Kinetic® movement runs on electricity generated by the movements of the arm and wrist.

Gaskets made of rubber, nylon or teflon, sturdy case materials, a screw-in caseback and screw-in crown together ensure the water resistance of a watch.

  • 30 m: 30 m: resistant to splashing and handwashing
  • 50 m: 50 m: suitable for surface swimming
  • 100 m: 100 m: suitable for snorkelling
  • 200 m: 200 m: suitable for recreational diving
  • 1.000 m: 1,000 m: suitable for deep-sea diving

Every two to three years and whenever the case has been opened, for example during a battery replacement or repair.

There are three test methods: dry tests (air pressure), dry-wet tests (air pressure followed by water) and wet tests (underwater with pressure).

Absolutely not. Hot water warps cases, damages seals and the movement. Avoid contact with hot water or steam.

Lumibrite is a luminous material developed by Seiko that gives more light than older paints and contains no radioactive material.

Your warranty and documentation

Instruction booklets are available from your dealer and are also available online via Seiko.nl.

When you purchase a Seiko watch, you immediately receive a warranty certificate with it. This is only issued once.

Maintenance

Care for your watch

Yes, have your watch checked every two or three years by your Seiko dealer for cleaning and replacement of worn parts.

Wash metal straps carefully with water, soap and a soft brush. Leather straps should be worn slightly looser in summer due to perspiration. Allow watches to air dry and do not place them in direct sunlight.

Magnetism can affect the stepping motor of analogue quartz watches. Once the magnetic field is gone, the watch will work normally again.

Avoid shocks, perspiration and extreme temperatures. Quartz watches are designed to keep accurate time at temperatures between −10 and +35 degrees Celsius.

Order & returns

Your order at Seiko

Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive an email with a Track & Trace number with which you can track the delivery.

Products are prepared for shipping immediately after ordering. Cancellation or modification is therefore not possible. Return is possible after receipt of your order.

We aim to deliver your order within 1 to 3 working days, depending on PostNL's workload.

Orders are delivered via PostNL. Shipping is free and usually takes 1–2 working days.

You can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard), iDEAL and Bancontact/Mister Cash.

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to return your product free of charge. The product must be unused and undamaged, in the original packaging. Send it to: Seiko Benelux, Antwoordnummer 328, 3100 VB Schiedam.

Use the PostNL Track & Trace number you received when dropping off your parcel.

Once we have received your return in good order, we will send you a confirmation by email. After inspection of the product, the purchase amount will be refunded to your account within a few days.
